ndia and Slovakia on Monday elevated their bilateral relationship to a Comprehensive Partnership, marking a major milestone in diplomatic ties as Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a historic State Visit to the Slovak Republic – the first by an Indian Prime Minister since Slovakia’s independence in 1993.
PM Modi visited Slovakia at the invitation of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, with the two leaders holding extensive discussions on expanding cooperation across defence, trade, technology, energy, education, innovation, counter-terrorism, and people-to-people exchanges.
The visit is being viewed as a landmark moment in India-Slovakia relations, reflecting the growing strategic importance of cooperation between the two countries amid evolving geopolitical and economic realities.
