Mr. K. D. Singh, is an Of Counsel with Abacus Legal Group. He is LLM from Government Hamidia College, Bhopal. He is former Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Law and Justice. He has been awarded Law Day Award for Legal Services by Government of India. He is one of India’s top arbitrators and enjoys an excellent reputation.
He is associated with Chartered Institute Of Arbitrators and INTERNATIONAL BAR ASSOCIATION among others. Mr. K.D. Singh in his illustrious career was an Arbitrator for 3 years in the office of Director General of Supply & Disposal, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India (GOI) for a period of 3 years. He was also an Arbitrator in Permanent Machinery of Arbitration, Ministry of Industries, GOI for a period of 1½ years. He has adjudicated various arbitrational proceedings ranging from telecom disputes to Infrastructure related disputes.
He has also been appointed as an arbitrator by various ministries including Ministry of Home Affairs, Defence Ministry, Ministry of Commerce among others. He was also appointed as Secretary, Judges Inquiry Committee set up by Rajya Sabha for impeachment of Chief Justice of one of the High Courts’ in India. He has attended Asia-Pacific International Trade Law Course (PITLC) (based on WTO Agreements, etc.), conducted by the INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT LAW ORGANIZATION (IDLO), at Sydney, Australia from 4th to 25th November, 2006.
